In collaboration with Heather Elizabeth of SHINE, I invite you to join us for a magical time of hanging out with the Ancestors! We will open our hearts with our ally, Cacao, create a traditional Dia de los Muertos altar, journey with the drums, and share around a fire (weather permitting!)
This is the third of the Trifecta offerings for Honoring, Listening to, and Celebrating the Ancestors at this time of year which, with the veil between the realms a bit more thin, seems to call them forward!
Bring a beverage or snack that was a favorite of one of your ancestors. Bring a photo or another item that holds the energy of an ancestor. Bring your open mind and heart and listen for them to make themselves known to us!
Suggested contribution is $33.
We especially request the prayers, presence, and intervention of our ancestors as we approach election day in the US! Heather Elizabeth, a student and practitioner of shamanic healing arts, will share with us some of her reflections on Wetiko.
Some of our North American indigenous ancestors used the term, Wetiko, to name the energy and spirit of Dis-Ease that consumes and annihilates. We might call it the Shadow within each of us individually, and within culture, collectively. Heather Elizabeth and I both hold the philosophy that identifying and bringing the shadow, Wetiko, to consciousness, is what brings us into more joy, more beauty, more equanimity, more peace - with all humanity, and with all of creation.
